Abbie Trayler-Smith – Sweet Sixteen
As part of a collaborative project involving 16 contemporary photographers, Abbie explores the lives of 16 year olds living in the UK. The group lead project was showcased in multiple exhibitions including Format Festival, Tate Liverpool Photofusion and more.
“Sixteen is an age of transition, of developmental, and of social change. The sitters are photographed in locations which mean something to them, either at home, work or where they socialise. They are asked about their lives, politics, identity, their interests, hopes and fears about the future and who or what sustains them.” – Sophie Gerrad on Sweet Sixteen.
